As a part of the NSW Seniors Week, Cumberland City Council held its annual Masters Games (Games). This will be the second year Cumberland City Council has run this event.
Residents of Cumberland City Council were invited to enter the Games in the week-long event in different various sports.
Table tennis was one of the key sports involved in the Games with the entrants lining up for competition on Monday 17 February at the Berala Community Centre, Berala NSW.
Table Tennis NSW assisted Council by organising the tournament however due to time constraints, numbers were limited to 16 competitors.
The matches were all played in the spirit which we should expect of seniors and as a consequence a most enjoyable day was had by all who took part.
Cumberland City Council provided light refreshments for all the players and officials which added a great deal to the occasion.
As in any competition there must be winners. Congratulations to the winners and all who took part in the event.
The winners were
Ladies singles Kitty Wong
Men’s Singles Jing Peng
Table Tennis NSW would like to thank Cumberland City Council for the opportunity of promoting Table Tennis in its Masters Games event and we look forward to continuing the partnership in 2021.
